The department offers the entire spectrum of Plastic surgery, especially reconstructive microsurgery and secondary aesthetic surgery. Cirumed Clinic is Dr.Aslani`s private practice. He has undergone extensive training in Plastic ,Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgery and has held various academic consultant positions in university hospitals in South Africa, Germany and Austria. Dr.Aslani has been senior lecturer in the Austrian academy for microsurgery and lecturing professor at PMU Medical school,Salzburg Austria. Since 2003 he has, besides substantiative consultant positions in academic units of Plastic Surgery, also been in private practice in Salzburg,Austria, as well as partner in various cosmetic surgical practices in the UK. He is also principal consultant at the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and reconstructive Surgery in Hospital Quiron Malaga. Apart from extensive experience in reconstructive surgery, Dr.Ortiz, has special interest in secondary aesthetic facial surgery and trauma as well as tumor reconstruction of the head and neck. Dr.Ortiz looks back at highly qualified training in the United States and has extensive experience in reconstructive surgery, including microsurgical techniques. In Cirumed Clinic Dr.Ortiz offers consultations as well as conservative and surgical treatment for the entire spectrum of otorhinolaryngeology, especially surgical treatment concepts for snoring and functional ear surgery. A further speciality of Dr. Ortiz is corrective surgery of the nasal septum in case of deviation. Such septal surgery can be combined with aesthetic rhinoplasty. Jeannine Aslani,DGKS Jeannine Aslani is specialist wound care nurse. Within the department of Plastic,Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of Hospital Quiron Malaga she is responsible for the problem wounds unit. She has extensive experience in postoperative care of both aesthetic as well as reconstructive operations. Dr.Ramin Pakzad Consultant Gynaecologist Dr. Pakzad disposes of wide experience in the field of breast disease, especially the diagnosis of breast cancer, its surgical treatment and chemo-as well as radiotherapy. In the field of breast cancer treatment, Dr.Aslani and Dr.Pakzad work together very closely, performing various levels of mastectomies and the reconstruction of resected breasts. Dr.Pakzad is also director of Clinica ginecologica Banus, where Dr.Aslani does also hold consultations regularly Clinica GynBanus Marbella Dr.Pakzad also routinely provides 4-D-ultrasound scans as preoperative diagnosis in patients requiring aesthetic breast surgery. This can, in selected cases, be superior to mammography and be a very precise screening tool. Dr.Bernd Reisbeck Dr.Bernd Reisbeck is an American trained cardiologist. He has held a substantiative appointment as chief consultant in the intensive care/cardiology unit of Brookdale university hospital New York. He is medical director of Reisbeck Medical. Dr.Reisbeck provides routine preoperative assessments for our aesthetic surgery patients who do not have an assigned General practitioner as well as risk assessments for patients facing major reconstructive surgery. Dr.Manuela Reisbeck Dr.Manuela Reisbeck is specialized in internal and nutritional medicine and consultant at Reisbeck Medical. She does provide nutritional counsellu¡ing for obesity patients. This counseling applies to preoperative and postoperative nutritional counseling as well as to patients were counseling is more advisable than surgery. Mr. David Deardon | BM, FRCS(Edin), FRCS(Eng), MD | Consultant General Surgeon Mr. Deardon graduated as a doctor in 1984 from Southampton University, England and thereafter trained as a general and transplant surgeon in Wessex, Manchester, Pittsburgh, Edinburgh and Cleveland Ohio. He became a fellow of both the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England in 1989. Mr. Deardon was accredited as a specialist in General Surgery in 1997 and joined the GMC’s specialist register at that time. He has held consultant posts in Plymouth (Senior Lecturer /Associate Professor), Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals London, Oxford Radcliffe (Where he was an Honorary Tutor to Green College and was involved in the initial development of the highly successful Oxford Pancreas and Non-heart beating kidney transplant programme (with Professor Peter Friend), the Western Infirmary Glasgow (were he oversaw the reintroduction of the living related kidney transplant programme for the west of Scotland) and St Bernard’s Hospital Gibraltar where latterly he ran a busy general surgical practice and introduced laparoscopic surgery as well as a dedicated breast and colon cancer service. Recently he received his accreditation in General Surgery and Internal Medicine in Spain. He left the GHA in October 2008 to concentrate on developing a high quality private surgical service at the Specialist Medical Clinic for Gibraltar’s non-entitled and fee paying patients as well as the ex-patriot population on the Costa del Sol, Spain. Mr. Deardon is a co-founder of the Specialist Medical Clinic and has responsibility of the day to day administration of the company. He consults within the clinic and in Spain and whilst he performs local anaesthetic surgical procedures within the clinic in Gibraltar, he has recently been awarded admitting rights to a number of Private Hospitals on the Costa del Sol for patients who require general anaesthetic procedures.
