How does jet liposuction compare to laser liposuction?
Jet liposuction is a minimally invasive technique technique that enables atraumatic harvest of large quantities of fat. Jet liposuction has no effect on the skin.
Laser liposuction is excellent for smaller fat deposits and causes skin retraction, which is important to prevent skin sagginess.
In many cases we combine both techniques: Jet liposuction in the deeper layers of fat for precise contouring of shape and laser liposuction more superficially for skin retraction.
This brings the best possible results.
What form of anesthesia is required for Jet liposuction ?
Jet liposuction is a local anesthesia procedure.
When do I see results after jet liposuction ?
There is no excessive swelling comparable to conventional liposuction, so most of the result is visibly immediately.
How does Jet liposuction work?
Jet liposuction uses water jetstream technology to remove fat, preserving the integrity of the fat cells.
Jet assisted liposuction is very precise.
In contrast to “traditional” tumescent liposuction techniques, in jet liposuction it is not necessary to inject huge volumes of fluid prior to liposuction, therefore the surgeon can shape more precisely.
Jet liposuction is further very atraumatic and does not bleed.
Further to this, Jet liposuction works much faster than “conventional” tumescent liposuction, enabling removal of around one litre of fat in thirty minutes.
Do I have to stay in hospital for Jet liposuction ?
No,jet liposuction is a day case procedure.
What is the recovery for Jet liposuction ?
That depends on the amount of fat removed, generally around 60-80 % less than traditional liposuction.
Can I do a fat transfer together with jet liposuction ?
Jet liposuction preserves the integrity of the removed fat cells. It is currently the best technique for fat transfer.
